Stockholm is done — what's next?
The HYROX World Championships in Stockholm have wrapped up. For the thousands of athletes who competed — and the thousands who followed from the sidelines — the question now is: what comes next?
Whether you're a qualified athlete looking to regroup after Stockholm, a competitor starting their season, or someone new to HYROX figuring out where to start, the H2 2026 calendar is stacked. Here's what you need to know.
HYROX Singapore: July 2026 — first major post-Stockholm event
Singapore is the first significant HYROX event after Worlds. It matters for a few reasons: it's one of the first major Asian events on the HYROX calendar, and registration is currently open.
For Europe- and US-based athletes, Singapore is often a niche event — but for the Asia-Pacific HYROX community it functions like a regional championship. Singapore results also feed into the global standings and 2027 qualification points.
The Fall 2026 calendar: key events to watch
The fall HYROX season is traditionally the densest of the year. For 2026, the main expected dates:
Manchester (August 2026) — UK return, one of the most dynamic HYROX markets in Europe. Registration expected to open in July.
Amsterdam (September 2026) — The Netherlands hosts an event that typically sees highly competitive Elite category fields.
Paris (October 2026) — The Parisian event is the most anticipated for French and French-speaking athletes. Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for the third consecutive year.
Chicago and other US cities (October-November) — the American market continues growing. Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles are among the regular H2 stops.
Tokyo (November 2026) — Second Asian event of the season, rapidly growing in participation numbers.
Qualification points for the 2027 World Championships
If you have ambitions for the 2027 World Championships, the HYROX qualification system activates from the first H2 2026 races. The general principle: best times by category and region accumulate points across events.
The most competitive qualification categories in Europe are typically Women's Individual Open, Men's Individual Pro, and Mixed Doubles. If you're targeting 2027 qualification, treat the European fall events as your primary qualification windows.
For new athletes: how to get started this fall
If you've never done a HYROX and you're thinking about getting started this fall season, here are the practical recommendations:
Register in the Open category at a local or regional event. That's the entry-level category — finishing times don't affect world championship qualification, but it's the perfect experience to understand the race format.
Plan 10–16 weeks of specific preparation before your first race. The HYROX format — 8km of running interspersed with 8 functional stations — is different from a standard CrossFit workout or pure running program.
Watch the official HYROX website for registration openings. Spots fill fast at European events, especially Paris and Amsterdam.
